Last weekend, I visited Atlanta. It was time to show off Michael Perry to the family and a few friends. Michael put on his biggest smiles and was the hit of the trip (or at least that's what I'm telling myself). He met his Great Papa, Aunt Marie, all the cousins and some GT friends, too. My grandfather (Michael's Great Papa) lives in a senior community. You should have seen all the older ladies flocking around Michael and my grandfather. It was just too cute.
I was planning on traveling with just Michael, but at the last minute my mom decided to visit the family, too. Thank God she did. She was a huge help in the car. I had forgotten just how long a trip can be with a crying baby in the back. She kept him fed, entertained, and generally happy while we cruised I-85.
While we were gone, the girls and Scott manned the roost . From the sounds of their tales, there was much fun to be had. That was their warm up for this weekend. Mimi and Poppa are on their way into town for Easter. There will be plenty of spoiling to go around, or as Sarah told me yesterday "Mimi is better than the Easter Bunny."
Now that I'm back home again, a couple of notes of special thanks much be shared. To my Aunt Marie for inviting us to her home and for hosting such a nice weekend. To my dear friend, Priti, who planned a great evening out with friends and who played personal shopper for me at the mall.
That is life in the stroller lane. Lots of love.
