I Feel Good

Those three words sum it up. After two years of pain, three surgeries, one mega-challenging pregnancy, and appointments with just about every specialist in the tri-county area - saying "I feel good" feels absolutely fantastic.

After a couple of hopeful diagnoses and procedures in the past, I have been very tentative in pronouncing myself cured. As of today, I'm three months post-op and the sun is shining. I have been pain free since mid-January. Advil which was once one of my four major food groups has vanished. It is now a dusty bottle in the back of the medicine cabinet.

There are a million reasons why it is so great to feel well, but the best one of all is picking up the kids. It is so wonderful to just lift them up to hug them, hold them, and swing them whenever I want. It isn't a thing I would usually put in the luxury category, but it sure does feel luxurious right now.

If you are wondering what was exactly wrong with me, the truth is the doctors still aren't all that sure. The pathology report after my hysterectomy showed several different problems, but not a clear cut "oh, there was your problem" answer. The hope is that two-months pain-free continues into forever. That sounds good with me.

Thanks again to everyone for their love, support, help, and prayers. It made all the difference.

That is life in the stroller lane. Lots of Love.
