I am cresting the one month mark in school. Life is definitely a bit of a zoo. Heck, we have three kids - life was a zoo long before I went back to school.
They say 6 weeks makes a habit, so I think we are getting close. I finally figured out where I can park and haven't gotten lost on campus in several weeks. My email is working and I can access online research journals. The kids are enjoying their new school and the girls are even taking Taekwondo. Scott is chipping in around the house with everything from folding clothes to making lunches (thank you, Honey). We are starting to hit a groove.
As for my classes (all 8 of them) - it's a lot. I have tests, quizzes and assignments due weekly. It seems like I spend more time figuring out what I'm supposed to be doing more than actually doing what I'm supposed to do. Good news, I like the material. And thus far, I haven't killed any of the manikins we practice on. Next week is a bear, with tons of exams. But the funny thing is that I'm not all that stressed. For those of you who knew me in high school, GT, or KFBS - read that again - I'm not all that stressed. Maybe, it's the third time's a charm. Or maybe, it's that with a family and a husband and a house - school can't be the only priority. Or maybe, it's the wine. Whatever it is, I'll take less stress over more stress any day.
This week was Scott's birthday and he got to do a little bit of celebrating. Although when it came time to put candles on his cake, I couldn't remember how old he was. Luckily, I made him younger not older. The kids quickly corrected my mistake, so on went another candle. This weekend, we don't have much on the schedule - other than catching up from the week.
That is life in the stroller lane.
