After just one day off, I was back to school for the summer term. And let me tell you, there was no rest for the weary. This term is only 10 weeks long, but has all 16 weeks of work crammed in. I am counting the days until break - it's 55!!!!
While this semester is absolutely crazy (figuratively and literally meant), I am in the hospital treating patients. Yippee!!! I spend one day a week at a psychiatric hospital - I wasn't joking about the crazy part . I spend two days a week at the regular hospital. Then, I spend the other two days in lecture and lab. I must say being in the hospital is much more interesting than the classroom and if the first few week's of clinical hold true, I'm will enjoy being a nurse. The problem this semester is that being in class all week, leaves no time to actually study. However, many others (even others with young kids) have made it through the program before me - so I too will get through this.
As for the family, they are good. At least that is what I'm told. Scott, Nana, and our regular babysitter have been picking up the slack while I'm off being a student. Sarah has 9 days left of first grade. Jaley is graduating from pre-school. Mick is 20-months and phasing out of some the toddler tantrum stage. All great things!!!
The girls are busy as usual. They are cooling off in the pool with swim lessons. They ran in the neighborhood Fun Run. And after much practice (OK, some practice) they are looking forward to their first piano recital.
