Hello and Good-Bye - Visits with Family

Family is our support system. They are there for the celebrations, for the sad times, and everything in between. This week was a lot of both.

For Thanksgiving, Scott, I and the kids headed to Richmond to hangout with the Beeman side of the family. You have to know that the Beeman's know how to do Thanksgiving. It was Aunt Pat's specialty and the skill was passed on to Tom (and Darlene) and Robin (and Ted) . What a great day. We ate, drank, and were very merry. It was a great Thanksgiving holiday and very much the break that Scott and I needed.

As the Thanksgiving weekend came to a close, we were saddened to hear that Grandpa Harrell had passed away. He was 92 years old and a fighter until the end. One of the last time's Scott talked to Grandpa, he was still making jokes, he never lost his spirit.

So this week of hellos and good-byes and a reminder of the importance of family. We loved seeing all the cousins in Virginia. We were so sad to say to good-bye to Granddaddy. He will always be missed.
